A jar of seasoned salt

It’s so easy to make your own seasoned salt with easily purchased seasonings. Seasoned salt is good on many foods from vegetables and vegetable patties to meat and beans.

SEASONED SALT (Pantry Cooking: Unlocking Your Pantry’s Potential, p. 131)

1/2 cup salt
1 tablespoon celery salt*
1 tablespoon garlic salt**
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon pepper

Place all ingredients in a blender container; cover and blend on high for 20 seconds. Store in a tightly covered container. Makes 3/4 cup.

*May substitute 1 teaspoon ground celery seed + 2 teaspoons salt for celery salt

**May substitute 1 teaspoon garlic powder + 2 teaspoons salt for garlic salt
