Home canned sausage patties are a wonderful convenience food, especially when you don’t need a whole pound (like when you are only feeding 2 people!). Searing the outside of the patties before canning keeps them from sticking together during processing and helps keep their shape. Just drain and heat in a frying pan before serving for a fast accompaniment to your eggs, pancakes, or waffles.
