Cut rosemary stems/branches that are green, fresh, and bug-free.

With string, tie together 6 to 8 stems at the bottom of the stems.

Hang each bunch from a clothes hanger.

Cover the hanger and the rosemary with a large, clean shopping bag hooking the handles over the hook of the hanger. The bag will keep rosemary leaves from dropping to the floor as they dry.

Hang in a closet to dry for about 4 weeks.

Make sure to record the date so you don’t forget.

When leaves are completely dry, strip leaves off the stems.

Place dried rosemary leaves in a pint or half-pint canning jar and dry heat process to seal a lid on. Dry heat processing will keep insects and humidity out of the jar. Label the jar and include the date.

Use dried rosemary leaves for cooking, rosemary herb tea, or facial steams.
